Entry-Level (3L) Tax Associate Company: HireNow Staffing (Direct Placement Partner) HireNow Snapshot HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly motivated Entry-Level (3L) Tax Associate to join one of our valued client partners. This full-time opportunity is designed for an outstanding third-year law student (3L) pursuing a career in sophisticated tax law. The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized tax practice advising clients on complex domestic and international tax matters involving mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, tax controversy, litigation, joint ventures, and emerging industries. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside highly respected tax attorneys while supporting a diverse client portfolio that includes Fortune 500 corporations, private companies, investment firms, and rapidly growing technology organizations. Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys with legal research involving federal, state, and international tax matters
- Analyze complex tax issues affecting corporate transactions, business reorganizations, and strategic planning
- Assist with drafting memoranda, legal opinions, correspondence, and tax planning documentation
- Participate in due diligence activities for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures
- Assist with tax controversy matters, audits, administrative proceedings, and litigation preparation
- Conduct statutory, regulatory, and case law research while monitoring legislative developments
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups on multidisciplinary client matters
- Prepare client-ready work products while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Participate in client meetings, internal strategy discussions, and professional development opportunities
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, confidentiality, and legal excellence
- Current third-year law student (3L) expected to graduate from an accredited law school
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career focused on tax law
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced legal environment
- High level of professionalism and sound judgment
- U.S.-based applicants residing in one of the eligible office locations only
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Completion of tax law coursework with strong academic performance
- Participation in Tax Law Society, Moot Court, Law Review, or similar legal organizations
- Previous judicial internship, law clerk, or summer associate experience
- Interest in corporate taxation, international taxation, M&A, transfer pricing, blockchain, or tax controversy
- Demonstrated leadership through academic, professional, or community involvement
- Strong client service mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in collaborative, high-performance legal teams
- Compensation: Starting Salary: $225,000 annually

- Interest in corporate taxation, international tax planning, mergers & acquisitions, transfer pricing, blockchain, or tax controversy
- Participation in Law Review, Moot Court, Tax Law Society, or other leadership organizations
- Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical abilities
- Stable academic and professional history demonstrating commitment, excellence, and long-term career growth
- Frequent unexplained employment changes or unstable professional history (jumpy resumes will not be accepted or interviewed)
- Not currently a third-year (3L) law student
- No demonstrated interest in tax law
- Weak academic performance or insufficient legal research and writing experience
- Failure to submit the required application materials, including cover letter, current resume, and law school transcript
- Applicants who do not currently reside in Silicon Valley, Seattle, New York, or Santa Monica
