Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care rehab services unit, requiring pediatric and orthopedic experience.
Details
- Acute care setting within Rehab Services - PT department
- Primarily outpatient care with some inpatient weekend rotation or coverage when outpatient volume is low
- Patient population includes CVA, orthopedic conditions (hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, back, neck), and vestibular disorders
- Patient load varies daily based on census and scheduled hours
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Day shifts with 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour scheduling options
- Weekend rotation every 6 weeks and holiday coverage as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Pediatric experience highly required
- Strong orthopedic skills required
- Generalist PT skills aligned with basic PT education also required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Patients are scheduled by department secretary based on therapist recommendations
- Department-specific orientation provided
- Dress code consists of black scrubs or black collared shirt with khaki pants
- Cancellation policy allows for 2 cancellations per 13-week assignment
