Sales Consultant - In‐Home Drywall & Plaster Repair

Compensation: $40,000 base salary (W2) + uncapped commission
Realistic first-year total comp: $100,000–$150,000+ (based on production)

We are hiring one In-Home Sales Consultant to run company-provided appointments, diagnose customer needs, create accurate estimates, and close projects.

What You Get

• $40,000 annual base salary (W2)
• Uncapped commission: 6% of collected revenue up to $1,500,000 per year, 8% above $1,500,000

Realistic first-year total compensation for reps meeting expectations ranges from $100,000 to $150,000+, based on approximately $1,000,000 to $1,800,000 in collected sales.

Estimated earning examples (total compensation):

• Match our current owner’s recent production (~$1,200,000 in collected sales): about $112,000
• Exceed that (~$1,500,000 in collected sales): about $130,000
• Top performers targeting ~$1,800,000 in collected sales: about $154,000+

Commission is paid on collected customer revenue:

• When the deposit clears
• When the final payment clears

Your income grows as you create more collected revenue.

What You’ll Do

• Run scheduled in-home appointments across Greater Pittsburgh
• Measure and diagnose drywall, plaster, ceiling, and carpentry issues
• Use Loft’s estimating tool to create accurate proposals
• Educate homeowners and recommend the right solution
• Present pricing clearly and close the work
• Collect customer deposits through our job-management platform
• Follow up on open estimates
• Complete accurate handoffs to our operations manager
• Build referral relationships with complementary trades during open calendar time
• Keep clean notes and communicate promptly with the team

You will not manage production or customer projects. Our operations manager owns that process.

You’re a Fit If You

• Have at least two years of sales, home-service, remodeling, construction, or consultative sales experience
• Can confidently sit at a homeowner’s table and discuss a $10,000+ project
• Listen well and make customers feel understood
• Are organized, responsive, coachable, and self-directed
• Can learn basic repair diagnosis and use technology comfortably
• Want performance-based income and a long-term role, not just another job
• Have a valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the United States

Your First 90 Days

Days 1–14: Learn and Copy

• Shadow appointments
• Learn the estimating tool
• Review completed jobs, photos, quotes, and lost opportunities
• Practice measuring, diagnosing, presenting, and handling objections
• Learn Loft’s home-visit checklist and handoff process

Days 15–30: Practice and Assist

• Roleplay daily
• Complete estimating drills
• Follow up on open estimates
• Attend selected appointments with support
• Begin approved referral-partner outreach

Days 21–44: Own Standard Appointments

• Run available company appointments independently
• Review every quote, win, loss, cancellation, and handoff weekly
• Build and manage a referral-partner pipeline

Days 45–90: Operate Independently

• Run normal appointments without the owner present
• Meet standards for show rate, close rate, collected revenue, and handoff quality
• Help document the process for future sales hires
