Baker (Remote Mining Camp) -- Winnemucca, NV

Matrix Camps, Logistics & Aviation is seeking a skilled Baker for rotational, site-based work at a remote mining camp site in the Winnemucca, NV region. Our camp operates at approximately 150 occupancy.

Basics

• Produce from-scratch baked goods and desserts for approximately 150 residents
• Follow baking schedules, portioning standards, and production plans to support meal service
• Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and finishing items with consistent quality and presentation
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation procedures for all prep and baking areas
• Manage baking inventory support: receiving, labeling, storage, and FIFO rotation under the Matrix food safety plan
• Support kitchen team needs while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Coordinate with the kitchen lead on daily priorities and bake quantities

Requirements

• Demonstrated from-scratch baking experience (required)
• Experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail: consistency, timing, portion control, and product quality
• Food Safety / Food Handler certificate (required)
• First Aid / Advanced First Aid certification (required)
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and teamwork

Mine Site Safety & Compliance (MSHA / Nevada)

• MSHA certification is required
• Must comply with all applicable mine safety and health requirements, including MSHA regulations (30 CFR) and site-specific safety orientation/training
• PPE and site rules are required (specific PPE listed by the site upon onboarding)
• Reference and criminal record checks will be conducted
• Some sites may require pre-access drug screening and/or fitness-for-duty clearance

Preference

Preference will be given to local candidates (and candidates with proximity) in the Winnemucca, NV region.

Employment Eligibility

• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Matrix will comply with all applicable U.S. employment verification requirements (I-9).

Job Details

• Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal (Rotational)
• Rotation: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off
