Job Description

The Final Assembler plays a key role in the production of large industrial generators by completing the final build and assembly stages. This position focuses on assembling exterior panels, trailers, and tanks, working from detailed blueprints and schematics to meet specific customer requirements. The role involves extensive use of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools, as well as crating finished products for shipment. This is a hands-on position that requires regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform final assembly of large industrial generators according to production specifications and customer requirements.
• Assemble exterior panels, trailers, and tanks that support and house the generators.
• Complete the final stages of generator assembly, ensuring all components are correctly installed and secured.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints and schematics to guide assembly work.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently during the assembly process.
• Crate and prepare finished products for shipment as needed.
• Handle and lift components and materials weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in an open bay/warehouse production environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards to ensure reliable and high-quality finished products.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of mechanical assembly experience working with large products or similar equipment.
• Experience in automotive or car mechanic work is acceptable and considered relevant.
• Minimum 6 months of experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools in a production or mechanical setting.
• Ability to read and work directly from blueprints and schematics.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail in assembly work.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in an open bay/warehouse production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge in mechanical assembly, automotive work, or related trades such as carpentry or production is beneficial.
• Comfort working with a variety of hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced production setting.
• Basic understanding of industrial or mechanical systems is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn new processes and follow detailed instructions and schematics.
• Reliability and strong work ethic with a focus on quality and safety.

Work Environment

The facility is designed for high-volume production, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and teamwork.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Mankato, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in North Mankato,MN.
