Special Education Teacher - Racine, Wisconsin

This full-time role spans a consistent 40-hour workweek, with an ideal daily schedule from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Lead two self-contained special education classes and collaborate through a push-in model for the remainder of your day, helping ensure all students receive the attention and resources they deserve. Your expertise as an experienced Special Education Teacher will help foster growth, independence, and self-confidence in learners at various grade levels.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification and relevant state license
• Solid understanding of IEPs, lesson adaptation, and behavioral intervention strategies
• Previous experience in both self-contained and inclusion/resource classroom environments preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Passion for supporting children with diverse abilities and backgrounds
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with teachers, staff, and families
• Flexibility to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Teach two self-contained special education classes, tailoring instruction to support each student’s learning plan
• Implement push-in services to assist students in general education classrooms
• Develop and maintain thorough, compliant IEP documentation
• Track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Coordinate with fellow educators, therapists, and parents to support holistic student development
