ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to support students with moderate needs in a variety of small-group classroom settings for the 2026–2027 school year.

Job Details

• Location: Wilmington, DE

• Position: Special Education Teacher

• Grade Levels: K–12

• Caseload: Approximately 15 students, including IEP responsibilities

• Classrooms: Students are distributed across four classroom settings:

  • K–2

  • 3–5

  • 6–8

  • 9–12

• Setting: Primarily small-group instruction, with some classrooms consisting of a mix of general education and special education students

• Student Population: Moderate needs

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

• Hours: 37.5 hours/week

• Pay: $38–45/hour, depending on experience and licensure; subject to change

Qualifications

• Valid Delaware Special Education teaching license required

• Experience working with students with moderate support needs preferred

• Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work effectively across multiple grade levels and classroom settings

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction based on student IEP goals and needs

• Support students in small-group and integrated classroom environments

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs

• Maintain accurate student documentation and progress data

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff

• Adapt instruction and materials to meet individual student needs
