Elementary Special Education Teacher | Easton, Maryland

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a certified Special Education Teacher to work with elementary-aged students at a welcoming school near Easton, MD. The role is set to begin as soon as possible, lasting through the anticipated end of the 2026-27 school year.

In this position, you’ll collaborate with general education staff and be a key advocate for students with a range of needs, primarily Other Health Impairment (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment. Your caseload will remain fluid, typically serving 10-15 students at any given time, and most services are provided within the general education classroom to facilitate inclusion and social learning.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience with elementary-aged students preferred
• Familiarity with a range of disabilities, including OHI, learning disabilities, autism, and language impairment
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Commitment to personalized instruction and inclusive education

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative special education services to elementary students
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
