All positions are housed in self-contained classrooms with a low student-to-teacher ratio and strong support from classroom aides, ensuring every child receives individualized attention and care.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Valid New York State Certification in Special Education (Early Childhood or K–12 preferred)
• Experience or genuine interest in teaching students with varying academic and behavioral needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• State clearances required for employment

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a self-contained classroom, meeting both academic and behavioral needs as outlined in each student’s IEP
• Design engaging lessons tailored to students’ developmental and functional levels
• Utilize data-driven best practices to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies
• Work closely with classroom support staff to maintain a positive, structured learning space
• Communicate regularly with families and related service providers, ensuring consistency in support
