Legal Consultant

Job Title: Legal Consultant Location: Portland, Oregon Schedule: Full-Time Salary: $90,000-$130,000 Employment Type: Direct Hire Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Portland-based organization to hire a Legal Consultant. This role will provide strategic guidance to clients on corporate entity structures, internal governance, succession planning, and mergers and acquisitions. The Legal Consultant will manage a portfolio of client engagements and serve as a trusted advisor throughout complex business transactions and planning initiatives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and detail-oriented attorney who can clearly communicate complex legal concepts, independently manage multiple projects, and build strong client relationships. Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on corporate entity structures, internal governance, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and related business matters
• Draft, review, and revise operating agreements, purchase agreements, contracts, and other transactional documents
• Lead multiple client engagements concurrently, overseeing project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables from initial assessment through completion
• Identify potential legal, transactional, and operational issues and develop practical solutions to address risks and improve workflows
• Build trusted client relationships and communicate complex legal and business concepts clearly and professionally
• Collaborate with other consulting teams to deliver coordinated guidance and ensure a smooth client experience
• Utilize Salesforce, Slack, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and other platforms to manage projects, workflows, and reporting
• Stay current on applicable laws, regulations, industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client and business information

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree required
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction preferred
• 2+ years of legal experience, preferably with a corporate law firm, financial services organization, or consulting firm
• Experience drafting and reviewing corporate agreements and transactional documents
• Knowledge of corporate governance, entity formation, succession planning, or mergers and acquisitions preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely
• Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
• Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and capable of independently managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce, Slack, Smartsheet, or SharePoint is a plus
