LHH Recruitment is partnering with an established international company who is seeking a contract Billing & Collections Specialist to join their accounting team in Scottsdale. This position will support billing, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and business-to-business collections. This role will by hybrid after training, Monday-Friday 730am-430pm. The hourly pay is up to $29/hr

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and monitor outstanding balances.
• Handle B2B collections through phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Follow up on past-due invoices and work with customers to secure timely payment.
• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices and billing information.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and account issues.
• Reconcile customer accounts and research unapplied or misapplied payments.
• Review aging reports and prioritize collection activity.
• Partner with internal departments to resolve billing disputes and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity and customer communications.
• Assist with other accounts receivable and billing functions as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or a related accounting function.
• Strong B2B/commercial collections experience preferred.
• Experience with invoicing, account reconciliation, and aging reports.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable having professional conversations regarding past-due balances and payment issues.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience working in an ERP or accounting system preferred.
