- Antepartum, postpartum, L&D, Gynecological post-op (hysterectomies and D&Cs), 20 weeks and up \n

Patient Ratios:

- 1:2 Laboring \n
- 1:1 active labor \n
- 1:3 couplets \n
- various gynecological surgeries \n
Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM
\nSkills required: Experience with all the above patients, circulate C-Sections, Recover mom and infant
\nSupport on the Unit:

- CNA: 1:13 \n
- OB techs serve as scrubs during C-sections \n
- Charge nurse: light assignment \n
- Phlebotomy/RN: draw blood \n
- OB-GYN on call at night \n
- Midwife on call at night \n
- OB-CRNA 24/7 on weekends \n
- FHM monitoring at nurse s station and bedside \n
- Unit secretary 0800-1400 \n
Charting System/Equipment:

\nOrientation: at least one shift on unit to learn flow
