Resource Consulting Engineers is a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing consulting engineering firm specializing in building analysis, design, and construction administration.

RCE is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Central Iowa team. This is an opportunity to take a leadership role within the firm, work directly with clients, manage projects, and help oversee electrical engineering and design work. As the team grows, this position may also provide the opportunity to mentor and oversee additional electrical engineering personnel.

What You'll Do

• Design and analyze electrical power distribution systems
• Design lighting and lighting control systems
• Design low-voltage systems, including fire alarm, communications, security, and public address systems
• Perform electrical calculations and technical analysis
• Develop electrical drawings and specifications
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software
• Review contractor submittals and respond to RFIs and technical questions
• Manage projects and communicate directly with clients
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering teams
• Travel to project sites as needed
• Provide technical leadership and potentially mentor additional electrical engineering staff

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain Iowa licensure
• Strong experience with power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software
• Ability to work effectively with clients and internal project teams
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed
