Experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician

$29–$40/Hour + Commission | Company Vehicle + Gas Card | Hampton Roads, VA

Monday–Friday | Full-Time | Overtime Available

Comfortable Climate Heating, Air & Plumbing is adding experienced HVAC professionals to our residential service team.

We're looking for a technician who can walk into a home, diagnose the problem, determine the right solution, and complete the repair with confidence. If you have strong technical skills and take pride in providing homeowners with honest, professional service, you'll fit well with our team.

Comfortable Climate is a locally owned HVAC, plumbing, and electrical company serving Hampton Roads, Williamsburg, and the Middle Peninsula.

What You'll Be Doing

As a residential service technician, you'll handle a variety of heating and cooling service calls while representing the company directly in customers' homes.

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
• Service heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, and related equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and system performance evaluations
• Identify equipment problems and determine appropriate repair solutions
• Explain system conditions and recommendations clearly to homeowners
• Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Follow manufacturer requirements, safety procedures, and applicable codes
• Document repairs, recommendations, and equipment information
• Maintain your company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory
• Provide a professional customer experience from arrival through job completion

What You Need

We're looking for someone who can work independently and take ownership of their calls.

• 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Solid electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, mechanical areas, and outdoors
• Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
• Personal HVAC hand tools

NATE, OSHA, or additional HVAC certifications are a plus.
