Description

American Traveler is seeking an independent PT for an outpatient ortho/sports clinic, welcoming new grads with strong ortho/sports clinical experience or prior outpatient contract experience.

Details

  • Outpatient clinic setting specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine
  • One-on-one 45-minute patient sessions with no double booking or overlapping patients
  • Private patient rooms and three separate gym areas
  • Schedule includes Monday 8:15am-5:15pm, Tuesday-Thursday 8:15am-5pm, and Friday 8:15am-3:30pm
  • 30-minute lunch daily with charting time built into the schedule
  • Uses Prompt EMR for documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required, or new grads with strong ortho/sports clinicals or at least one 13-week contract in an outpatient ortho/sports setting
  • 1:1 patient ratio experience
  • BLS certification preferred, not required
  • CertDN certification preferred
  • Prompt EMR charting experience preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Skilled in assessment techniques including AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, and pain assessment
  • Experience with orthopedic conditions such as DDD, DJD, frozen shoulder, sciatica, and post-op joint repairs
  • Familiarity with modalities including e-stim, ultrasound, cryotherapy, and traction
  • Experience with vestibular, neurologic, and geriatric patient populations preferred
  • Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education

Additional Information

  • Independent clinician role requiring strong clinical decision-making skills
  • Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge documentation for orthopedic and sports medicine patients
  • Utilizes adaptive and assistive devices including crutches, gait belts, and walkers
  • Open to first-time travelers who meet clinical experience requirements
  • Accepts local candidates at the same rate
