Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and open to first-time travelers.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Rotating weekends required, approximately every 3-4 weeks
- Position may float between units
- Patient ratios of approximately 8-9 to 1
- Epic charting system used
Requirements
- Current WA OT license required, if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- Acute care experience required; IPR experience a plus
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Skills in edema massage, kinesiotaping, prosthetics/orthotics, functional splints, orthoplast, and static splints preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Must be a collaborative, hard-working team player
- Scrubs of any color accepted for all units
- No on-call requirements
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
- Former employees may return after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
- No parking fees at this facility
