Speech Pathologist
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our team in providing exceptional care in an acute inpatient and rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in treating a range of patients and be committed to delivering quality therapy services.
Position Overview- Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Work Schedule: Typically includes weekends and holidays as needed
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs are permitted, with specific color guidelines provided upon hire
- Provide speech therapy services to patients with various diagnoses, including stroke, pneumonia, and sepsis.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 8 to 10 patients per day.
- Conduct video fluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS) as part of patient assessments.
- Collaborate with a team of Speech-Language Pathologists and support staff.
- Float between acute inpatient and rehabilitation units, covering required areas such as ICU and acute tower.
- Licensed Speech Pathologist with a minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
- Current certifications: BLS Certification and CCC-SLP.
- Experience in rehabilitation settings is preferred but first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC.
- Complete 2-3 days of unit-specific orientation prior to starting patient care.
- Traveling professionals should plan to work additional shifts to accommodate onboarding schedules.
