Cath Lab Technician Position Description
The Cath Lab Technician is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
ScheduleThis position includes weekdays with call requirements and involves three 12-hour shifts per week. The typical shift hours are from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with variations as needed.
Facility OverviewThe facility is a multi-campus health system located in Ocala, Florida, offering a range of medical services. The cardiac cath lab is equipped with advanced technology and supports efficient patient care.
Unit Profile- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Number of Labs: 3
- Patient Ratios: 3:1
- Type of Equipment: GE lab, Impella, Balloon pump, Penumbra, IVUS
- Documentation System: Merge Hemo documentation
- Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the lab.
- Certifications:
- RCIS
- ACLS/BLS
- Advanced Skills: Electrophysiology experience preferred.
- Right and left heart catheterization (diagnostic and interventional)
- Peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures
