DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Note: This is an itinerant position, requiring travel as needed.
This position is located out of store number #0284 in Pittsburgh but will travel to other stores in the designated district.

This position serves as a lead worker who guides clerks and supports daily store functions. The role focuses on customer service, store organization, and assisting with sales and inventory tasks. As a Liquor Store Clerk 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Shift Leadership: Guide clerks during assigned shifts and support smooth store operations
• Customer Service: Assist shoppers, resolve concerns, and maintain a positive environment
• Sales Processing: Ring up orders and manage cash register transactions
• Stock Management: Unload shipments, fill shelves, and maintain organized displays
• Staff Training: Coach less experienced clerks on procedures and store policies

• Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Six months of retail sales work.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
