System Application Analyst

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Application Analyst 3 for a hybrid contract position in Newport News, VA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience. Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience. Ph.D. and 0 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.

• Windows Support

• Application Support

• Automation Experience

• Experience with Windows Server OS administration, Linux, networking, maintenance and patch remediation.

• Install, configure, patch, and maintain enterprise applications, middleware (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat), and associated web servers (IIS, Apache)

• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages; automation tools like Ansible

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards.

• Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.

• Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree is required.

School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:

5/40 workweek. First Shift 7:30AM-4:00 PM. Hybrid position- must be local to Newport News.
