LHH is seeking an EHR Clinical Specialist to support a health organization in Oklahoma City. This contract opportunity is ideal for a healthcare technology professional who enjoys improving workflows, supporting end users, and serving as the bridge between clinical operations and electronic health record systems. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining system functionality, optimizing processes, supporting training efforts, and ensuring users can effectively leverage the EHR platform to deliver quality patient services.

Position Overview

The EHR Clinical Specialist will serve as a subject matter resource for electronic health record operations, working closely with healthcare staff, leadership, technical teams, and third-party system partners. This role focuses on process improvement, system enhancements, user support, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and training initiatives designed to enhance the overall effectiveness of the EHR environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in healthcare technology, health information management, clinical systems support, or EHR administration who enjoys solving problems and driving operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for EHR users and serve as an escalation point for complex system issues.
• Develop, update, and maintain training guides, reference materials, and process documentation.
• Assist with onboarding and ongoing education of staff utilizing the EHR platform.
• Evaluate current workflows and recommend improvements that enhance user experience, productivity, and data accuracy.
• Coordinate system enhancement requests from initiation through implementation.
• Review software updates and communicate functionality changes that may impact operations.
• Facilitate testing efforts for system modifications, upgrades, and new functionality.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
• Monitor interface activity and help ensure accurate data exchange between connected systems.
• Document configuration updates, workflow adjustments, and system changes.
• Assist with user security setup, role-based access management, and system governance activities.
• Participate in strategic projects and initiatives related to healthcare technology and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience; OR
• Associate degree with additional years of professional experience supporting healthcare technology, EHR systems, clinical applications, or related functions.
• Experience supporting, administering, training, or optimizing Electronic Health Record systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, or health information systems is highly preferred.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour
