Mold Remediation Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify mold presence and water damage issues.
• Perform mold remediation using specialized cleaning techniques and equipment to eliminate mold colonies per IICRC standards.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for demolition, cleaning, and repair tasks during the remediation process.
• Assist with fire restoration, water damage restoration, and asbestos abatement projects as needed to support comprehensive property recovery.
• Apply cleaning methods such as carpet cleaning and surface sanitation to ensure complete removal of contaminants.
• Follow industry safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout all procedures.
• Document work performed, including detailed reports on remediation steps, materials used, and areas treated for quality assurance.

Requirements

• Prior experience in the restoration industry or related fields such as construction or cleaning is required.
• Knowledge of mold remediation techniques, water damage restoration, fire restoration, and asbestos abatement is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and industry regulations.
• Excellent physical stamina to perform manual tasks in various environments for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients during projects.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license
• Able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
• Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs
• Willing to wear face mask
• 1+ year of experience in the cleaning & maintenance services industry

Preferred qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• Construction skills: operating handheld tools
