PRST is seeking experienced Concrete Workers and Form Carpenters for residential and commercial construction projects. Qualified candidates must know how to measure, cut, assemble, brace, and strip concrete forms accurately. Primary work includes forming, placing, leveling, edging, and finishing concrete sidewalks while maintaining the correct dimensions, elevations, slopes, and drainage requirements. Pay ranges from $20 - $25 per hour, based on verified experience and demonstrated ability, plus weekly pay and insurance benefits. If you can accurately form and finish sidewalks, understand grade and slope, work safely, and show up ready to produce, we want you on this crew.
HOURS: 5 8's
Responsibilities:
- Read measurements, layout marks, and basic construction plans.
- Measure and cut lumber and forming materials accurately.
- Build, brace, align, and strip forms for concrete sidewalks.
- Establish proper grade, elevation, slope, and form dimensions.
- Prepare subgrade and work areas before concrete placement.
- Place, screed, float, edge, joint, and finish concrete.
- Produce clean, consistent finishes in residential and commercial settings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and concrete-finishing equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Follow project specifications and jobsite safety requirements.
- Work efficiently with laborers, carpenters, finishers, and supervisors.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have basic tools of the trade and bring them to work daily.
- Must have full PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, work gloves, and work boots.
- Previous concrete, form carpentry, or concrete-finishing experience.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate layout.
- Working knowledge of sidewalk forming and finishing procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and remain on your feet throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation and dependable daily attendance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work productively without constant supervision.
