Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology / X-Ray Technologist with 1+ year of experience and ARRT(R) certification for a hospital-based role covering OR, ER, and outpatient imaging.
Details
- Full time days/PM schedule with variable 4x10 or 5x8 hour shifts, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 1:00 PM-11:00 PM depending on unit need
- Rotating weekend coverage every 3rd weekend
- Call requirement of 5-8 shifts per month
- Duties include OR cases, ER, portable imaging, and outpatient procedures
- Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- ARRT(R) and BLS certifications required
- Wisconsin or Compact license required (license required if applicable)
- Community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Prior travel experience preferred, or multiple facility employment history in Level 1 or 2 trauma settings if first-time traveler
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work settings
- Proficiency in general radiographic positioning including abdomen, upper/lower extremity, spine, pelvis, chest, and head imaging
- Experience with fluoroscopy studies, portable/mobile imaging, and C-arm procedures preferred
- Experience with GE, Philips, and PACS equipment preferred
- Skills in infection prevention, radiation safety, contrast media administration, and peripheral IV starts preferred
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic imaging across adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, ED, OR, and portable settings
- First-time travelers considered only if they have multiple facility employment history in Level 1 or 2 trauma settings
- Local candidates considered at a reduced hourly rate
- Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1-year separation
- Travel pairs accepted
- Facility cannot accommodate candidates with latex allergies
- NIHSS certification may be pending at start but must be completed during compliance
- Passport-style badge photo required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
- Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance
