CAREGIVER
Banning, California • Full-time
$17.90 - $18 hourly
Position Overview:
As an experienced Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our residents. Your dedication to creating a nurturing and comfortable environment will contribute to the overall well-being of those entrusted to our care.
Responsibilities:
Personal Care:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance and transfer residents as needed.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Understands basic caregiving procedures, hygiene care, medication management, and emergency protocols.
- Observant and attentive to residents' needs and changes in their condition.
Companionship:
- Foster meaningful relationships with residents through engaging in conversations and companionship.
- Participate in recreational activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
Health Monitoring:
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff.
- Assist in monitoring vital signs and overall health status.
- Monitor and record vital signs, and changes in health condition, and report any concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals and document accurately in residents' records.
Meal Assistance:
- Support residents during meal times, ensuring dietary preferences and restrictions are adhered to.
- Assist with feeding as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a caregiver in an assisted living or similar setting.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or relevant certification is preferred.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards seniors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
- Understanding of proper lifting and caregiving techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Caregivers must be reliable and punctual.
