Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a senior backend engineer to join our small team as we continue building out our product and deploy it to some of the largest insurance carriers in the world.

There's so much to do. We can't wait for you to join us.

You'd love this role if...

You're passionate about reimagining archaic industries

You want to work on a small, close knit team of brilliant engineers consumed by a consequential and yet-unsolved problem

Being a trailblazer—in our architecture, in our approach, and in our team—is an inspiration, not a burden

You will...

️‍ Become a key owner of the  backend systems and processes

Lead and mentor other engineers on the growing team

Iterate on existing applications as well as architect entirely new ones

Collaborate with the CEO and CTO to identify and prioritize the most impactful improvements to our product

You may be a fit if you...

Have built and shipped meaningful and complex products

Have strong opinions about software engineering–that at the same time you aren't afraid to re-evaluate/change

Have a background in, or a desire to dive into, the world of start-ups

Bring 5+ years of engineering experience that shows a hunger for future growth and mentoring

Bonus points...

On the backend we're currently using Typescript/Node.js and GraphQL for our primary services, however that will evolve as the business requirements solidify. The most important thing is that you're nimble, intelligent, and hard working.

To be honest

We don't care if you didn't graduate high school or have 3 PhD's--we care that you ship delightful product and can work on features from ideation to ship.
