Registered Nurse – Med Surg | Portland, Oregon | Start 11/09/2026 | 13-week travel assignment | $1,907–$1,942 per week | 36 guaranteed hours | Night shift (3x12s)
This travel RN position is in a short-term acute care hospital setting. The assignment emphasizes coordinated, patient-centered care for a patient population requiring Med Surg expertise, with a focus on safe, evidence-based practice and teamwork.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to an assigned group of patients using the nursing process, with attention to safety, comfort, and patient education.
- Collect and analyze patient data, develop and implement a plan of care, and evaluate outcomes; coordinate with the care team to optimize patient progress.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions and escalate concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues, involve patients and families in care decisions, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate levels of nursing staff, and contribute to a safe, healing environment.
Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Certifications: CPR/BLS required (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS) from an approved vendor
- Experience: At least two years of recent field experience; acute care experience preferred
- Education: BSN preferred
- Credentials: High familiarity with hospital systems; EPIC EMR experience is REQUIRED
- Additional: Ability to work night shifts; capable of functioning effectively in a hospital setting
