IT Tech System Support

Full Steam Staffing is seeking an experienced IT Systems Support Tech to provide technical support to workstation users and maintain the technology systems that support daily business operations. This role will provide support across workstations, servers, software, and network components and may also lead or coordinate smaller IT projects.

This is a full-time, on-site position with no remote work option.

Position: IT Systems Support Technician

Location: Scotts Valley, CA

Pay Rate: $22.00–$26.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, AM Shift

Essential Job Duties

• Manage helpdesk functions and provide technical support to internal workstation users.
• Maintain and support software and hardware systems used throughout the organization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve routine and complex technical issues while providing feedback to internal teams.
• Develop a strong understanding of ERP/MRP software and assist users with related issues.
• Help improve IT workflows and create documentation for processes and procedures.
• Monitor mission-critical software and hardware systems for availability and reliability.
• Provide support for Windows desktop and server environments.
• Apply knowledge of relational database concepts and business systems.
• Support basic network topology and network security, including access control and virus protection.
• Assist with network security infrastructure, including SIEM services, firewalls, endpoint protection systems, and vulnerability management systems.
• Respond to and help manage security-related events and incidents.
• Lead or participate in network security and IT infrastructure projects.
• Organize smaller IT projects and see them through to completion.
• Provide professional and effective customer service to managers and coworkers.
• Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technology or IT support.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025.
• Experience with application and server support.
• Experience integrating and supporting existing business systems.
• Experience with network administration, including Microsoft Active Directory.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Working knowledge of network security systems, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve both routine and unusual technical problems.
• Ability to effectively communicate with managers and coworkers in a professional manner.
• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and adjust to changing deadlines and priorities.
• Customer-service-oriented approach to IT support.
• Ability to bend, squat, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills & Training

• Microsoft and/or Cisco certification, equivalent education, or comparable work experience.
