Alpha Pitt Smokers is looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher / Prep & Utility Team Member to help keep our kitchen clean, organized, and ready for service.

Dishwashing and sanitation are the primary responsibilities of this position. When those duties are current, the team member will assist with basic food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and other kitchen-support tasks.

Responsibilities

• Wash and properly sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Keep the dish area clean, organized, and operating efficiently
• Maintain a steady pace and prevent dishes from backing up during busy service
• Sweep and mop floors and clean designated kitchen areas
• Empty trash, replace liners, and assist with recycling
• Restock dishes, utensils, chemicals, and kitchen supplies
• Assist with basic food preparation, including portioning, peeling, chopping, labeling, and stocking
• Help receive, organize, label, and properly store deliveries
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures
• Complete assigned opening, shift, and closing duties
• Assist the kitchen team with additional cleaning and support tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
• Willing to perform dishwashing, cleaning, and food-preparation duties
• Able to work efficiently in a hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environment
• Able to remain standing and actively working for most of the shift
• Able to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Restaurant or food-preparation experience is preferred but not required
