Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually

The Learning Experience is seeking an experienced Child Care Center Director to lead our Kings Park early childhood education center.
This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing teachers, building relationships with families, growing enrollment, and creating an exceptional environment for children and staff.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily operations of a licensed childcare center
- Recruit, coach, develop, and retain a strong teaching team
- Build a positive, collaborative center culture
- Maintain compliance with New York childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
- Ensure high-quality early learning and consistent curriculum implementation
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff
- Lead center tours and support enrollment and family retention
- Monitor staffing, labor, enrollment, budgets, and center performance
- Maintain accurate staff and child records
- Support local marketing and community engagement
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of childcare center management or people leadership experience required; 2+ years preferred
- Must meet applicable New York State requirements for the Center Director role
- Early childhood education or licensed childcare experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of childcare licensing, health, safety, and classroom quality standards
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Must meet applicable background screening, health, and training requirements
