New York, NY | 6-Month Contract | Maternity Leave Coverage
Schedule: Monday–Thursday onsite; Friday work from home
Duration: 6 months, maternity leave coverage
Pay rate: $50-57/hr
A leading financial services firm is seeking a Wealth Management Operations Specialist for a 6-month contract assignment covering a maternity leave. This is an onsite Monday–Thursday position with the option to work from home on Fridays.
Responsibilities- Open and maintain client accounts by gathering documentation, verifying information, and coordinating with internal teams
- Facilitate securities and cash transfers, ensuring required documentation and timely communication with internal and external partners
- Support the processing, booking, allocation, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation of securities, FX, derivatives, and alternative investments
- Monitor daily transactions, including FINRA TRACE reporting, FX/Swap reporting, trade feeds, unmatched/failed trades, wires, deposits, and cash/securities transfers
- Investigate and resolve transaction, settlement, and account-related exceptions
- Partner with Business, Product, Technology, and other internal teams to support client needs
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and controls
- Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
- Assist with system and process changes, including requirements gathering and user testing
- Ensure adherence to established procedures, SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements
- 5-7+ years of financial services operations experience, preferably within a broker-dealer, bank, or registered investment advisor
- Experience with client account opening and KYC/AML requirements
- Knowledge of cash, securities, FX, and derivatives, including options and swaps
- Understanding of trade processing, settlement, custody, and reconciliation
- Experience with regulatory reporting, including FINRA TRACE
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Familiarity with DTCC, Euroclear, Fedwire, FICC, SWIFT, Bloomberg, or NetX360 is a plus
- High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
