Job Description
The Greer Group has an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity for an experienced Material Handler/Forklift Operator in the Canton, NC area. This is a great opportunity for reliable candidates looking for steady hours, competitive pay, and long-term employment potential in a manufacturing environment.
Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour (may be higher based on experience)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Job Summary:
The Material Handler will be responsible for safely moving, staging, and supplying materials throughout the production facility. This role requires prior forklift experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and transport materials to and from production and storage areas.
- Supply production lines with necessary materials in a timely manner.
- Organize and maintain inventory and warehouse areas.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and staging finished products.
- Perform basic inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
