Now Hiring – Laborer / Fence Installer

Express Employment Professionals is currently looking for a reliable Laborer / Fence Installer to join a local team. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable working outdoors, using tools, and doing physical labor. Fence installation or construction experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates with a strong work ethic who are willing to learn.

Job Duties

• Assist with installing wood, vinyl, chain-link, aluminum, steel, and ornamental fencing.
• Measure and lay out fence lines and post locations.
• Dig post holes and set posts using concrete.
• Install fence panels, gates, hardware, and other materials.
• Assist with fence repairs and replacing damaged materials.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, post-hole diggers, augers, and other equipment.
• Follow job instructions and safety procedures.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Work with the installation crew to complete projects efficiently and correctly.
• Communicate professionally with customers and supervisors when needed.
• Perform general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous fence installation, construction, landscaping, or general labor experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Reliable and willing to work as part of a team.
• Able to follow directions and work independently when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and a good work ethic.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the day.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in hot, rainy, and changing weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable using hand and power tools.

Work Environment

This is primarily an outdoor position working at residential and commercial job sites. Some travel between job sites may be required.
