Schedule: Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat 10:00 AM–3:00 PM; Thu 10:00 AM–5:30 PM

Looking for a Sales Representative to sell high quality sewing machines, embroidery machines and longarms. Actively engage with potential clients to promote and sell products or services, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets. This role involves effective negotiation and communication skills to build strong client relationships and contribute to business growth.
Quilting and sewing skills is not required.
This is a sales position designed for someone who enjoys setting goals, closing sales and being rewarded for their effort. The more you learn and the better you become at helping customers, the more opportunity you have to earn.

About the Role

OSewpersonal is looking for a Sales Associate to join our Collinsville location, helping customers find the right sewing, quilting, and embroidery machine for their needs. We carry top brands including Brother, Bernina, Janome, and Handi Quilter, along with sewing furniture and accessories.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing sales role - not a cash-register job. You'll get to know our products inside and out, guide customers through a considered purchase, and build real relationships with a loyal, close-knit sewing and quilting community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sales negotiations and current promotions to close deals and secure contracts
• Greet and get to know customers, understand what they're working on, and help them find the right machine or furniture for their needs
• Demonstrate machine features and capabilities across our carried brands
• Guide customers through the sales process from first conversation to closing the sale
• Stay current on product knowledge as new models arrive
• Keep the sales floor organized and well-merchandised
• Build lasting customer relationships that turn into repeat business and referrals
• On the job training about product will be provided

Qualifications

• Sales or customer service experience - commission-based sales experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and genuine comfort guiding someone through a bigger purchase decision
• Willingness to learn technical product details across multiple machine brands (no prior sewing machine experience required, though a sewing/quilting background is a real plus)
• Reliable availability matching the schedule above
• Self Starter, Self Motivation
• Basic computer skills
• Social Media knowledge a bonus

Pay & Compensation

•Starting hourly rate: $16.50/hour plus commission (around $40K-$60K)

•Plus uncapped commission on every machine and furniture sale you make — the more you sell, the more you earn, with performance tiers that increase your commission rate the higher you climb

No cap on earning potential — top performers have real upside beyond the hourly base

• 1+ years of experience in sales
