HR Employee Relations Specialist

Overview:
The Employee Relations Specialist supports a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace for faculty and staff. This role manages employee concerns, conducts investigations, and partners with campus leadership to strengthen engagement and workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on policies, procedures, performance expectations, and workplace conduct.
• Conduct investigations related to complaints, misconduct, and policy violations.
• Support conflict resolution, coaching, and performance improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Collaborate with HR teams on training, policy updates, and campus initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; higher‐ed experience preferred.
• 2–4 years of employee relations or HR generalist experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interviewing, and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
