Detail Technician

Tryon Equestrian Detailing runs a dedicated detailing bay on the Tryon International grounds, and show weeks bring more trailers through the bay than one person can turn around alone. We're looking for an experienced detailer — someone who's already spent years doing high-end detail work and can step into the bay and run washes and details to that standard from day one, especially Thursday through Sunday when the grounds are busiest.

About Us

Tryon Equestrian Detailing is a horse trailer and vehicle detailing business based in a fixed bay on the Tryon International grounds at 25 International Blvd, Mill Spring, NC. Clients — exhibitors and owners showing at Tryon International — drop trailers and tow vehicles at the bay for full hand-wash and detail service and pick them up the same day. It's hands-on, outdoor-adjacent work, done right next to the horses and rigs that make this a working showground.

What Success Looks Like

From early on, you'd be someone Francis can hand a trailer to and trust it'll come back to a high-end standard without needing to double-check it — running a wash or detail start to finish at the level your experience says you can, steady under a full Thursday–Sunday show-week schedule, and someone clients feel good handing their rig to.

What You'll Do

●        Hand-wash and detail horse trailers and tow vehicles in the bay to a high-end standard, adapting your process to ours

●        Handle interior cleaning, wheels/undercarriage, and finish work on trailers and vehicles

●        Stage and prep trailers for client pickup so they're ready on time

●        Keep the bay, equipment, and supplies organized and in working order

●        Greet clients at drop-off or pickup when needed and represent Tryon Equestrian Detailing well on the grounds

●        Flex around the Tryon International show calendar, with priority availability Thursday through Sunday

What We're Looking For

Required:

●        Multiple years of hands-on, high-end detailing experience — vehicles, RVs, or trailers

●        Reliable transportation to the Tryon International grounds in Mill Spring, NC

●        Able to do physical, hands-on work outdoors and standing for a full shift — lifting supplies, bending, reaching around trailers and vehicles

●        Comfortable working closely around horses, trailers, and clients' vehicles, and trustworthy with property that isn't yours

●        Available on an on-call, as-needed basis with real availability Thursday–Sunday, especially during Tryon International show weeks

●        21 or older

●        A valid driver's license

Preferred:

●        Experience around horses, barns, or horse trailers

●        Photos, references, or examples of past high-end detailing work
