What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with our physicians and clinical team to provide high-quality care and ensure a positive patient experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures.
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document medical histories and clinical information in the EMR.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including sanitation and supply stocking.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the supervising physician and within applicable scope of practice.
- Perform phlebotomy and other routine clinical tasks.
- Collect, label, and process specimens for laboratory submission.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
- Provide patients with clear and compassionate pre- and post-procedure instructions.
- Respond to patient questions and communicate concerns appropriately to the clinical team.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation.
- Follow HIPAA, infection-control, safety, and practice policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CMA or RMA certification preferred.
- 2+ years of clinical experience in a medical office, specialty practice, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Strong phlebotomy and vital-sign skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, professional, and patient-centered approach.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced specialty practice.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Dependable team player who takes pride in providing excellent patient care.
