Armed Security Officer

The Armed Security Officer plays a critical role in maintaining safety and security within corporate buildings. This position requires regular use of firearms and involves vigilant monitoring and protection of premises through various security measures. Officers work individually and may be assigned to day, night, or rotating shifts, requiring adaptability and keen attention to detail. Certification as an Ohio Security Firearms Certified officer is mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities

• Control access to corporate buildings and sensitive areas
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure premises are secure
• Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies
• Monitor surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity
• Prepare accurate reports on security incidents and daily activities
• Operate security equipment and respond to alarm triggers
• Manage crowd control during events or emergencies
• Engage professionally with customers and building occupants

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ohio Security Firearms Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in security operations
• Security Guard License
• Firearms Permit
