HR Coordinator – Downtown Houston
Temp / Potential Temp-to-Hire
Up to $35/hr | Fully In-Office
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Parking Reimbursed
We are seeking a polished and highly organized HR Coordinator to support a busy Human Resources team in Downtown Houston. This position will provide hands-on support across recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration and general HR operations while serving as a professional point of contact for candidates, employees and hiring managers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinated the full recruiting and onboarding process including interview scheduling, offer letters, Workday onboarding, background checks and new hire orientation
- Partnered with hiring managers to complete requisitions, post openings and coordinate candidate interviews
- Supported recruiting efforts by reviewing applications, communicating with external recruiting partners and coordinating related documentation and invoices
- Managed pre-employment activities including applications, screening requirements, background checks and employment verifications
- Maintained recruiting files, applicant flow documentation and candidate correspondence
- Prepared and maintained recruiting and new hire materials
- Coordinated offer acceptance follow-up, welcome communications and orientation schedules
- Prepared new hire packets, collected required employment documentation and entered employee information into the HR system
- Coordinated orientation logistics including materials and video conferencing
- Created and maintained accurate personnel files in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
- Provided administrative support for employee benefits communication, including FMLA documentation and routine benefits questions
- Maintained strong communication with candidates, employees, hiring managers and HR leadership throughout HR processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field highly preferred
- Minimum 3 years of general Human Resources experience
- Workday experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong recruiting coordination, onboarding and HR administrative experience
- Professional, articulate and polished with the ability to represent the HR team effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- High level of accuracy, urgency and attention to detail
- Positive, energetic and team-oriented approach with a genuine enthusiasm for supporting employees and the HR function
