Machinist (experienced)

We have openings for Experienced Machinists with our family owned and growing company. Candidate would prefer to be local to Southern Illinois, no relocation offered at this time. Looking for someone that wants a solid career and growth.

Salary is competitive and will be determined based upon experience and qualifications.

Basic job requirements include:

• Operation of CNC lathe, knee mill, Okuma & Hurco mills.
• General machining of parts to customer orders (not mass production.)
• Successful candidates will have at minimum of 4 years experience, strong math skills, good verbal skills, attention to detail & good work ethic.
• Certificate or associate's degree in Industrial Technology or similar, with 3-5 years experience in a machine shop setting is a plus.

William T. Stanford established Bettendorf Stanford in 1965 when he purchased the assets of the Bettendorf Company of Bettendorf, Iowa. The Bettendorf Company was the original manufacturer of the micro bread slicer and slicer blades. With the purchase, the company was moved from Iowa to Salem, Illinois, where it remains today. Salem is 75 miles of St. Louis, Missouri.

Our company has rapidly expanded, since it's beginnings in remanufacturing used machines. We now design, build, sell and install our machines in bakeries all over the country and overseas. Many of the component parts are manufactured in-house, from the slicer blades to the large machines that slice and bag products that you use every day.
