Human Resources Generalist - Bilingual Spanish!

We are seeking a proactive Bilingual HR Generalist to assist with the day-to-day functions of the HR department. This role will provide administrative HR support and guidance across all business locations regarding terminations, benefits, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, and payroll-related questions. The goal is to ensure smooth HR operations that deliver maximum value to the organization. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate hiring for warehouse and transportation positions; partner with managers to define skills and competencies required.
• Onboard new warehouse employees and drivers, including new hire/rehire paperwork, I-9 verification, and WOTC compliance.
• Conduct new hire orientation in English and Spanish.
• Maintain accurate employee files and assist with termination paperwork.
• Implement company culture, core values, and policies.
• Handle routine employee inquiries; escalate complex/sensitive matters appropriately.
• Assist with HR policy interpretation, benefits inquiries, and annual open enrollment.
• Support company events and perform general HR administrative duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong understanding of HR principles, labor laws, onboarding, and employee relations.
• Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and operate effectively under pressure
