Customer Order Management Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Customer Order Management / Order Fulfillment professional to support key and complex customer accounts. This position will be responsible for managing the order entry and fulfillment process, ensuring orders are accurately processed, customer requirements are understood, and business guidelines are followed.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Supply Chain, Order Management, Customer Service, Sales Operations, or Accounts Receivable, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills. SAP experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the order entry and order fulfillment process for key and high-value customer accounts.
• Review, validate, and process customer orders in accordance with established business processes and guidelines.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Develop strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs and resolving issues effectively.
• Monitor customer requirements and identify appropriate, cost-effective solutions based on business capabilities.
• Maintain service levels and prioritize customer requests based on business needs.
• Support customer accounts across multiple business areas and serve as a knowledgeable resource for assigned accounts.
• Troubleshoot complex order and fulfillment issues and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Serve as a key resource for relevant systems, tools, and business processes.
• Maintain accurate records and provide effective communication regarding order status, issues, and resolutions.
• Use SAP, Excel, Outlook, and other business systems to support daily activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in Order Management, Order Fulfillment, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales Operations, or Accounts Receivable.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong customer service and business process understanding.
• Experience with SAP preferred; approximately 1–2 years of SAP experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple customer requirements and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
