Business Manager

The Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Bridge House thrift stores, including Ladders and Flip'n Boomerang. The Business Manager will manage budgets, monitor cash flow and bank deposits, and provide business advice and strategy to the Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and people skills, be able to work independently, and have excellent communication skills. This is a participative manager position who reports to the Executive Director.

Duties

• Develop and maintain thrift store financial policies and procedures to ensure that the store donations, asset processing, and sales are efficient and effective.
• Manage the thrift store budgets, including forecasting sales and expenses and monitoring actual results against the budget.
• Prepare sales and expense reports for the Executive Director.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to the Executive Director.
• Ensure that the thrift stores follow town, state, and federal regulations and requirements regarding safety.
• Implement and oversee human resource policies in the thrift stores to ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws rules, and regulations and Bridge House policies and procedures.
• Oversee the preparation of timesheets and certify and deliver them to the Executive Director biweekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a business manager role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of human resources and labor regulations.
• Professional certification, such as an MBA preferred.
• QuickBooks Online experience preferred.
