Director of Maintenance Operations

Company is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director to lead maintenance, service, repair, installation, and operational support for conveyor and material-handling business. This leader will build scalable processes, coordinate teams, and ensure safe, accurate, profitable, on-time work.

The role oversees preventive and emergency maintenance, field service, project support, estimating, scheduling, purchasing, inventory, administration, and billing. It requires strong leadership, financial and estimating expertise, conveyor-system knowledge, customer skills, and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, industrial technology, or related field preferred.

·       Significant, recent, industrial maintenance of 7+ years or more, material handling, conveyor, field service, construction, manufacturing, or related experience.

·       Experience leading multiple departments and implementing workflows, procedures, and accountability systems.

·       Strong budgeting, accounting, job-costing, estimating, gross-margin, reporting, proposal, contract, and pricing knowledge.

·       Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, specifications, and maintenance records; strong conveyor and preventive-maintenance knowledge.

·       Ability to manage competing priorities; proficiency with spreadsheets, scheduling, ERP/accounting, and work-order systems.

·       Excellent communication and organizational skills; valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Conveyor automation, distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, service-contract, or multi-location experience.

·       Knowledge of electrical controls, VFDs, sensors, PLC troubleshooting, OSHA, and industrial safety.

·       ERP, CMMS, field-service, or job-costing implementation experience; project management, Lean, Six Sigma, or improvement training.

• Travel is expected; minimum 25% to include some international travel.
