Teacher of Physics - Part-time, Temporary

Middlesex School invites applications for a part-time Physics teacher beginning in January 2027 and ending May 2027. 

The position involves teaching college preparatory Physics courses, including AP Physics C. The number of sections taught depends on the interest and availability of the selected candidate. The ideal candidate will be available to teach 1-2 sections. We seek educators who thrive in a collaborative environment and are skilled in implementing engaging curricula. While an advanced degree is preferred, we value candidates who demonstrate excellence in teaching and incorporate current technological innovations in science education.

This position is part time and therefore does not require the selected candidate to fulfill other responsibilities that full-time faculty of a residential boarding school assume. This position is not eligible for benefits or housing.

We expect to compensate for this position between $8,000 and $10,000 per section taught, based on years of experience.

Middlesex is a residential, boarding community where students and faculty live and work together on campus. This means there are occasional Saturday classes, though the majority of this position lies in the Monday-Friday work week.
