Mechanical Machine Maintenance -1st and 2nd Shift (35689)

Located in Lapeer, our client is committed to quality and is looking for an Experienced Machine Maintenance professional to add to their team. High precision, high volume machining company working in the automotive parts manufacturing industry. This role allows you the ability to work in different capacities throughout the facility. 1st 2nd shift available, pay based on experience, $20 and up.  Consistently work Monday-Saturday, 1st shift 5:30A-4P; 2nd shift 4:30P-3A.  Overtime is mandatory.Apply Now!JOB SUMMARY:Performs all necessary repairs including heavy electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and fabrication within the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Maintain operation of machinery by completing preventative maintenance requirements on all production equipment.Strong trouble shooting abilities to locate source of problems by observing device, listening for problems, and using testing instruments.Follow manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, sketches, operation manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.Welding, altering, and fabrication of components on machinery using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.Basic understanding or better, of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.Basic ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues with the use of simple troubleshooting tools/hand tools.  Preferred (but not necessary)Welding and fabrication skillsFamiliarity with CNC machinesFamiliarity with basic automated equipment ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Movement of equipment, both internal and externalRemoval of defective components using hoists, cranes, hand and power toolsAssist in safety and housekeeping repairsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededPerforms other duties as assigned.HSD Required. Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:Noise – Heavy machineryChemicals, oils, acids, sprays, coolants and solvents.Batteries and propaneTemperature fluctuationsEnclosed spaces. Why work for Qualified Staffing? We offer a fantastic benefits package to all our employees.
