Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Midland, Georgia

The role spans from ASAP through May 21, 2027, with the potential for pre- or post-planning days. Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Georgia Educator Certificate for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience working in school settings with visually impaired students is preferred
• Willingness to document all services by completing daily logs
• Comfortable discussing age group preferences and previous experience during interviews to determine an ideal caseload and placement
• Commitment to onsite support (no virtual/VOCO candidates for this opening)
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments
• Adapt curricular materials and modify instructional methods as necessary for accessibility
• Assess student progress and adjust strategies to meet evolving needs
• Participate in IEP development and collaborate closely with school staff and families
• Maintain thorough daily documentation of services provided, ensuring compliance with district requirements
