Job Description

The Assembler role focuses on building mechanical and hydraulic assemblies using a variety of tools and equipment. You will interpret drawings and schematics to fabricate, wire, and assemble components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and timely completion of tasks in a clean warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of tools such as saws, benders, drill presses, and other hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble components.
• Use overhead cranes, hoists, or forklifts to safely move and position parts and assemblies.
• Drill and tap holes to common industry standards, ensuring accuracy and proper fit.
• Read and follow drawings, blueprints, prints, and component installation instructions to complete assemblies correctly.
• Run and terminate simple electrical wiring according to drawings or schematics, ensuring proper voltage and safe connections.
• Fabricate small brackets and assemblies, including performing minimal welding as required.
• Route and install hydraulic hoses, tubing, and fittings using hydraulic schematics as a guide.
• Assemble hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, filters, and heat exchangers into complete units.
• Assemble power units, skids, or sub-assemblies from a variety of materials and processes.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures to verify dimensions and ensure components meet specifications.
• Maintain a neat, organized, and clean work area to support safety and efficiency.
• Take responsibility for the quality of parts produced, inspecting work to meet standards and specifications.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Convey ideas and concepts clearly to team members and supervisors to support efficient workflow and problem-solving.
• Follow safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions to ensure a safe working environment.

Essential Skills

• Ability to operate fabrication tools including saws, benders, and drill presses.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, prints, and component installation instructions.
• Capability to use overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts for material handling and assembly.
• Skill in drilling and tapping holes to common industry standards.
• Ability to run and terminate simple electrical wiring from drawings or schematics, with an understanding of voltage.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, including routing hoses and tubing and installing fittings.
• Ability to assemble hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, filters, and heat exchangers.
• Basic welding skills to fabricate small brackets and assemblies.
• Mechanical assembly experience, including building power units, skids, or sub-assemblies.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures accurately.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Willingness to accept responsibility for actions and the quality of work produced.
• Ability to clearly convey ideas and concepts in a work setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfort working with hydraulic hose, tubing, and fittings from schematics.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical schematics for assembly work.
• Experience working in a fabrication or mechanical assembly environment.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Strong sense of ownership over task completion and meeting deadlines.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-climate-controlled but clean warehouse environment. You will work around fabrication and assembly equipment such as saws, benders, drill presses, overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts. The setting emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, with practical work attire suitable for a warehouse and fabrication shop.

This is a Contract position based out of Arlington, TX.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Arlington,TX.
