Cath Lab Technologist
We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. This position requires strong technical skills and experience in working with critically ill patients.
Position OverviewThe Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of procedural tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.
- Prepare and maintain equipment used in procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide additional support as needed during interventions.
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, with a preference for Siemens or Philips systems.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and care during procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations and weekend duties.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization environment.
- Current certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification, and Fluoroscopy are mandatory.
- Experience with peripheral and coronary circulation procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with the Merge system is a plus.
- Must be comfortable working in a highly dynamic and challenging environment.
- Experience with advanced technologies such as IVUS, Impella, IABP, and FFR preferred.
The position requires participation in a call schedule, including one night per week and one weekend per month. Scrubs will be provided, and a radiation badge is required, which will be supplied by the agency.
Working ConditionsThe Cath Lab operates with 4 rooms and manages 15-20 cases each day. A charge nurse is available during the day, and a circulating nurse will take charge after hours.
