Position Overview:

As the Sanitation Team Lead, you keep our processing equipment and production rooms clean, safe, and ready to run on schedule. You will spend most of your shift on the floor taking apart, scrubbing, sanitizing, and reassembling heavy machinery while guiding a small team of technicians. Beyond hands-on cleaning, you will hand out daily tasks, inspect finished rooms with Quality Assurance, and check every log to ensure total accuracy under FDA and cGMP standards. This is a physical, detail-heavy role that requires strict adherence to written steps, comfort working around airborne powders, and the ability to keep your team focused and accountable. 

What You’ll Do:

• Disassemble, deep clean, sanitize, and reassemble production machinery and rooms according to written SOPs and cGMP regulations.

• Assign daily tasks to team members, monitor progress throughout the shift, and ensure cleaning schedules stay on track.

• Inspect sanitized equipment and coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) to secure formal room and equipment release.

• Verify that all sanitation checklists, cleaning logs, and shift documentation are completed accurately and in full compliance with 21 CFR Part 111 and 21 CFR Part 117.

• Train and coach new team members on safe chemical handling, proper disassembling techniques, and cleaning standards.

• Troubleshoot sanitation equipment issues and report mechanical or compliance concerns immediately to management.

• Reinforce strict safety, PPE, and sanitation standards across the floor to maintain a clean and structured work environment.

Skills We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED, plus prior experience working in a regulated manufacturing or sanitation environment (cGMP, food, or dietary supplement manufacturing).

• Direct experience disassembling, scrubbing, sanitizing, and reassembling industrial production equipment.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive manual labor, work around fine powders, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

• Strong attention to detail with basic computer skills to accurately fill out digital and paper compliance logs.

• Clear communication skills with a track record of coaching team members, keeping morale steady, and setting a high standard of work.

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility for scheduled or unscheduled overtime as production demands.

• Prior knowledge of 21 CFR Part 111, 21 CFR Part 117, or formal cGMP sanitation certifications.

Pay: $22.50–$25 per hour plus additional bonus opportunity

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
